Interdistrict School Choice
The inter-district school choice program allows families to enroll in a school district that is not where the student resides. Use the School Finder tool to identify which districts near you accept students in the high school grades. If you are interested in having your child attend school through this program, you should contact the superintendent's office in the district in which you want to enroll.
Commonwealth Virtual Schools

A Commonwealth of Massachusetts Virtual School (CMVS) is a public school where teachers primarily teach from a remote location using the Internet or other computer-based methods and students are not required to be located at the physical premises of the school. Any student in the state can apply for admission to a virtual school. There are two such schools in Massachusetts that both accept high school students:

To apply for admission, contact the school directly. The information provided in the Frequently Asked Questions for Families will help you determine whether your child is prepared to thrive in an online program.

Non-Resident Career Technical Education
Students who reside in cities and towns not that do not offer state-approved career technical education programs in the technical program area sought by the student may apply for admission to a school of another city, town or district offering the desired instruction. Information about CTE programs can be found at Career & Technical Education (CTE) for Families: What Families & Students Need to Know and specific program availability can be found using the School Finder tool.
