Additional Information Sessions and Workshop for Prospective Charter Applicants

The Charter School Office has scheduled additional information sessions and an additional workshop for individuals, groups, and organizations interested in applying for a Massachusetts public school charter. In addition to the previously scheduled information sessions and workshop, information sessions have been scheduled for June 1 in Taunton and June 7 in Worcester. The Charter School Office will also host a workshop about Horace Mann charter schools June 13 in Malden. Details about all scheduled sessions and workshops for the 2006-2007 application cycle are detailed below. All prospective applicants (including groups or entities interested in developing an application for a Horace Mann charter school), community-based organizations, and existing charter schools are invited to attend an information session about the charter application process and the availability of funding to support the creation of high quality charter schools through the Charter School Developer Program. In addition to the information sessions, a workshop will be held to discuss the impact of community-based organizations on founding and partnering with charter schools.
