Vocational Technical Educator License Renewal Labs

To:Vocational Technical Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent and Directors
From:Brian Devine, Administrator
Office of Educator Licensure
Date:May 2, 2008

I am pleased to announce that representatives from the Office of Educator Licensure will be conducting vocational technical license renewal labs at the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, 350 Main Street in Malden. Renewing on line is a simple process that most educators can complete in no more than 15 minutes. It should be noted that an educator may renew their license up to one year prior to the expiration date. For example, if an educator is due to renew their Professional license and their birthday is April 15th, they are now eligible to apply for renewal since it is within a year of their birthday/renewal. The labs will be available for candidates to renew their licenses on the following dates:
  • Monday May 19, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Interested applicants should register at http://www.doe.mass.edu/conference/?ConferenceID=459 to schedule a time. If you have any additional questions, please call Irene Shurdut-Kelley at (781) 338-6654 or email her at ishurdut-kelley@doe.mass.edu. Best wishes and thank you for your assistance in this matter.
