Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL)

Redeveloped General Curriculum Test: Objectives and Practice Test Now Available

Starting with the March 7, 2009 test administration, a redeveloped General Curriculum test will replace the current General Curriculum test. The new test objectives and a full-length Practice Test are now available to help educator licensure candidates and college and university faculty to become familiar with the structure and content of the new test.

The new General Curriculum test will have two separately scorable subtests: the Multi-Subject subtest (Language Arts, History & Social Science, and Science & Technology/Engineering) and the Mathematics subtest. See the 11/26/07 notice for background information.
