Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL)

Educators Needed for Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) ESL and SEI Test Review Committees

The Department and Evaluation Systems group of Pearson are currently seeking public school educators and higher education faculty to participate in test development activities. Test development activities will take place starting this winter for the English as a Second Language (ESL) and Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) tests. Committee members will be selected to include a representative group of Massachusetts educators who are exemplary in their field. Educators for the test review committees, for the fields listed above, must meet these qualifications:
Public School Educators
  • Hold a valid MA license in ESL and/or in a core academic subject and have demonstrated knowledge in sheltering English language instruction for ELL students.
  • Currently practice in the field and at the level of the license.
Higher Education Faculty
  • Teach undergraduate or graduate level courses in one or more of the fields listed above in which prospective PreK-12 educators may be enrolled.
