Innovation School Annual Evaluation Template

I am writing to remind you that according to statute (M.G.L., c.71, s.92), districts' Innovation Schools must be evaluated annually by the superintendent, and these reports must be transmitted to the School Committee as well as to the Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE). A template Download MS WORD Document is now posted on the Executive Office of Education (EOE) website to assist you with completing this evaluation. This template was created by EOE in collaboration with ESE. Use of the template is strongly encouraged, but optional. I am requesting that evaluations be submitted via email (to redesign@doe.mass.edu) by the end of January 2013 for schools that have been in operation for at least one full academic year (see list below). The ESE and EOE will use the evaluations to inform decisions about how best to support Innovation Schools in the future, as well as to inform the annual report to the legislature on Innovation Schools.
