Compliance Related Webinars on USDA Foods for School Year 2014-2015

To:National School Lunch Sponsors Involved with USDA Foods in MA
From:Kathleen C. Millett, Executive Director
Office for Nutrition, Health and Safety Programs
Date:February 18, 2014

Change is underway for USDA Foods in Massachusetts. We are hosting a series of Webinars on USDA Foods and the changes for school year 2014-2015. The complete series includes each of the following sessions:
  1. USDA Foods Entitlement Basics and Entitlement Tracking Resources on the Security Portal
  2. USDA Foods - Completing your Diversion Survey for school year 2014-2015
  3. USDA Foods - Completing your Brown Box Order Form and DOD Fresh
Each session will be one hour long including time for questions. Due to interest in each area, each webinar will be repeated three times. See training information below for dates and times. While it may be ideal to attend all three sessions in the same week, we understand that may not work for everyone's schedule. Be sure you attend at least one session of each in the complete series to ensure you receive the USDA Foods that meet your menu needs in school 2014-2015. Please note: USDA Foods - Completing your Diversion Survey for school year 2014-2015 is not required if you are not diverting raw product to a processor to be made into alternative end products (example: beef sent to a company to be made into beef meatballs). You are welcome to attend should you wish to learn more about the Diversion Program. Sessions are open to:
Child Nutrition Directors
Cafeteria Managers
School District Business Officials
