Per ANF directive (11/2007), Executive Order 510 (2/19/2009) and ANF Memo (6/18/2010) public-facing websites and applications are required to use a Mass.gov address or get prior permission from the Commonwealth CIO for any non-compliant website or web address whenever any state labor or services, or federal, state or other funding, are intentionally contributed by an executive department agency to the creation, maintenance or promotion of a website or application.
This includes contracting with a vendor for hosting content, surveys, or using commercial sites to conduct state business such as google docs, SurveyMonkey, dropbox etc.
Additionally the Secretariat CIO must certify that the site complies with all other policies and standards in order to ensure that the Governor is promoting a reliable, secure and accessible website. In particular the website/application must meet Commonwealth Accessibility Requirements.
