Review of the Science and Technology/Engineering Framework, 2009-2013

The review of the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering (STE) Curriculum Framework started in spring, 2009, and is anticipated to be completed in spring, 2013. This page is intended to provide an overview, timeline, and periodic updates on the review process, related documents, and drafts for public comment.

Overview of the review process

Phase 2: The second phase will focus on rewriting the learning standards based on the recommendations approved by the BESE.

Phase 3: The third phase involves interfacing with Achieve, Inc., as they facilitate the development of national science and engineering standards with the input and support of various national science education and state organizations.

Phase 4: The fourth phase is dedicated to public input, both from the field and external organizations with expertise in science and technology/engineering education.
