Agency Targets

We will measure our success based upon our ability to meet several targets in each strategic area. The targets are presented below and are grouped by the audience for which we expect to see this success and will measure change. The delivery unit regularly monitors our progress towards meeting these targets and helps initiate course corrections when necessary.

 
K-12 Students
Increase in:
  • 5-year graduation rate
  • MassCore completion rate
  • Third grade reading performance
  • Eighth grade mathematics performance
  • English Language Learner MCAS performance
  • Level 4 student growth percentile
  • Career development participation
Educators and Leaders
Increase in:
  • Teachers that agree that professional development is differentiated to meet their needs
  • High-quality minority educators
  • Proficient and Exemplary teachers and principals retained in Massachusetts schools
  • Teachers and principals moving from Needs Improvement to Proficient or Exemplary
  • MCAS performance among students taught by teachers in their third or fourth year
Decrease in:
  • Number of educators on waivers
Postsecondary Students
Increase in:
  • Adult learning gains
  • Career development participation
Decrease in:
  • Developmental coursework
