Performance Improvement Mapping (PIM) is an intensive, data-driven, results-oriented school planning model. It was developed by the Massachusetts Department of Education (MA DOE) to assist low-performing schools in raising student performance in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics.
Please note that the PIM resources have not been updated since 2006, as ESE is in the process of developing a new suite of tools. However, district and school teams may find some of the PIM resources useful in their planning.
Detailed item analyses data are available via the Department's Education Data Warehouse.
