Provider: Brainfuse One-to-One Tutoring

 Provider Details

 Program Description (written by provider)
Brainfuse is the nation's leading provider of one-to-one tutoring to schools, offering online tutoring in Math, Reading, and Writing (grades 3-12). With Brainfuse, students receive individual attention from carefully selected tutors through our kid-friendly online classroom -- all that is required is a computer with Internet access. Independent studies confirm that students prefer Brainfuse to traditional group tutoring because Brainfuse provides the best tutor-student ratio available and thus greater opportunities to ask questions, participate in sessions, and receive help in critical areas. In addition, Brainfuse offers complete freedom when scheduling (we are available anytime, day or night, 7 days a week). Learn more at: www.brainfuse.com, Or call us toll free at: 1.866.272.4638
Evidence of Effectiveness (written by provider)
Brainfuse is approved by more states than any other SES providers, and recentlyoutperformed all providers in math in a study conducted by the LAUSD. Brainfuse significantly boosts test scores and improves classroom performance. Of the students who received test preparation from Brainfuse, 75% significantly boosted their test scores.

Our tutors have amassed considerable experience working with students from a wide range of backgrounds, many of whom are Title I students, at-risk students, low-income students, students with disabilities, and students with limited English proficiency (LEP students). We have entered into more than 90 contracts with districts and schools (including Chicago Public Schools, Los Angeles Unified School District and Boston Public Schools) and are serving over 15,000 students nationwide. Here are some examples of our success:

·No Child Left Behind, California (mainly Los Angeles and San Diego): Significant number of Title I, LEP, and at-risk students.
·No Child Left Behind, Illinois (primarily in Chicago and Joliet): Over 1,500 Title I, LEP, and at-risk students.
·Mississippi GEAR UP: Homework help to 8,000 free and reduced lunch students throughout Mississippi)
·West Virginia GEAR UP: Homework help to over 5,000 free and reduced lunch students.
·Power-Up Center, Bedford Stuyvesant, NY, NY: Homework help to at-risk, inner-city students.
