NESI's tutoring program focuses on reading, language arts and mathematics for grades K-8 using highly qualified and caring teachers. NESI believes the key to effective tutoring is the maintenance of small group learning environments with a maximum 1:5 teacher-student attending ratio. Each child's individual academic plan is carefully constructed using diagnostic information and parent input and instruction is designed to address student needs. Parents receive monthly progress reports and frequent contact with our staff. NESI's tutoring program available before and after school with 1.5 - 3.0 hours of service available per week. NESI's program has a 29-year history of proven positive results with over 4,900 students served in 64 school districts in 5 states for the 2006-2007 school year.

NonPublic Educational Services, Inc. (NESI) has provided its Title I program annually to approximately 600 children from 30 private schools in 32 school districts in Virginia since 1980/81. Over the following 16 years through 1996/97, NESI has produced achievement gains of +4.7 NCE's in Reading and +5.1 NCE's in Math using standardized achievement tests. The goals for Title I is that the educational program must make an identifiable difference in student performance outcomes. NESI is proud of its accomplisments in this regard. NESI has produced significant positive gains in student achievement in the bypassed LEAs under contract. Evaluation Reports for each school year are available upon request. Since 1997/98, using a Stanford 9 achievement test, NESI has reduced the percent of its students tested Basic or Below Basic by nearly 24% in Reading and 36% in Math with correspondeing increased in proficient or advanced. The program provided by NESI is the Title I By-Pass Program in Virginia. All students in the program are from low income areas and are underachieving students.

Last year, NESI provided SES tutoring and Title I services to 5,900 students in 187 schools in 65 school districts in Virginia, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

NESI provided SES programs in New York, Virginia, Florida, Wisconsin and Missouri in school year 2005-2006. The folloiwng results were based on pre and post testing data of 978 students (grades K-12) using the Group Reading/Math and Diagnostic Evaluation (GRADE and GMADE) standardized tests.
-- 72% of all NESI SES students showed an increase in reading and math performance.
-- Overall student gains based on an average of 31 hours of tutoring showed:
-- Half a grade-year-gain in Reading
-- Three quarters of a grade-year-gain in Math

NESI conducted a parent satisfaction survey in our SES program. The results are based on over 500 parent survey responses. Parents who said "Strongly Agree" or "Agree" on our year end Parent Satisfaction Survey:

-- 96% I would recommend to the principal: invite NESI back.
-- 95% The staff was qualified and supportive.
-- 95% Overall, a quality tutoring program.
-- 94% The additional instruction was a positive experience.
-- 94% My child's academic achievement improved.
