Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Academies SY2019-2020
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is pleased to offer six intensive professional development Academies designed to aid school and district teams with the implementation of tiered systems of instruction and support. Any school and/or district may apply for these Academies. However, please note that first priority will be given to schools that are designated as underperforming or chronically underperforming and/or schools that are in the lowest 10th percentile. Additional schools will be accepted for participation based on availability and relative need.
Districts are encouraged to submit applications for schools that are ready and committed to participate in a rigorous multi-year professional development opportunity. Please complete the application as soon as possible, as space is limited. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, with the first round of decisions being made after Friday, May 24th. For questions, please reach out to . Rebecca Shor
On April 22nd, the Department facilitated a webinar with all of the Academy providers to describe the opportunity in more detail. A recording of the webinar and the PowerPoint deck that was used can be accessed at MTSS Academies Public Information Folder.
