FY10 Entitlement/Allocation Grant Amounts for LEAs

FY10 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for Special Education (ARRA-IDEA) (Fund Code 760)
The purpose of the ARRA-IDEA federal grant program is to fund activities that will advance ARRA's short and long-term economic goals. Activities funded through the ARRA-IDEA grant must be designed to help ensure that students with disabilities have access to a free and appropriate education (FAPE) to meet each student's unique needs and to prepare each student for further education, employment, and independent living. Recommended due date: June 1, 2009 for a July 1st start.

FY10 Federal Special Education Entitlement (Fund Code 240)
The purpose of this federal entitlement grant program is to provide funds to ensure that eligible students with disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education that includes special education and related services designed to meet their individual needs.

FY10 Special Education - Program Improvement Grant (Private Schools Only) (Fund Code 249)
The purpose of this federal grant program is to fund professional development activities that will increase the capacity of personnel in approved Massachusetts private special education schools and programs in meeting the diverse needs of their students.
