Significant Disproportionality: Professional Learning Community

In partnership with national special education technical assistance centers, DESE is identifying resources and tools to assist districts with addressing identified disproportionality through required comprehensive coordinating early intervening services (comprehensive CCEIS) activities, and establishing a professional learning community (PLC) to support inquiry and implementation in 2019-2020 and beyond. In partnership with school districts, DESE is committed to crafting tools and resources to help districts identify, understand, and address significant disproportionality. DESE is requesting that school districts collaborate with DESE and influence the creation and use of these supports. On this page you will find more information about the PLC.
