Cohort Sample Activity Overview for the 2017-2018 School Year:

Cohort 1
  • Spring 2018, districts will collect contact information from 2017-2018 exiters with IEPs in preparation for the Spring 2019 14B data collection. There is no ESE reporting requirement for 14A (Indicator 14A).
Cohort 2
  • Spring 2018, districts will collect and report exit data for preschool students with IEPs in order to measure their social-emotional, academic, and behavioral growth (Indicator 7B).
  • During school year 2017-2018, districts will work with the ESE to collect district level data through a survey measuring the percent of parents with a child receiving special education services who report that schools facilitated parent involvement as a means of improving services and results for children with disabilities (Indicator 8).
Cohort 3
  • Fall 2017 and Spring 2018, districts will collect and report entry and exit data for preschool students with IEPs in order to measure their social-emotional, academic, and behavioral growth (Indicators 7A and 7B).
  • Spring/Summer 2018, districts will administer a post-school outcomes survey to all students with IEPs who exited school the previous year and report data to ESE (Indicator 14B).
  • Fall 2017 - Complete Special Education Program Plan Statement - Due October 1, 2017.
Cohort 4
  • Spring 2018, districts will collect and report exit data for preschool students with IEPs in order to measure their social-emotional, academic, and behavioral growth (Indicator 7B).
