Student and Secondary Support

The Secondary School Services unit helps students succeed in school and be prepared for higher education, a career, and responsible citizenship. While significant efforts in the unit are focused on secondary school programs, many of the unit's efforts address Pre-K through post 12th graders.

	Student Support Academic Support, 21st Century Community Learning Centers Programs, Alternative Education, Community Service Learning (CSL), Innovative Programs (Title V), McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance, the Parent and Community Education and Involvement Advisory Council, and Trauma Sensitive Schools.
	College and Career Readiness The secondary school improvement initiative is focused on improving high schools and is coordinating efforts to improve the college and career readiness of students in the Commonwealth through a grade PK-16 strategy.
