Data Report on Trends in Student Enrollment

Board members have asked for data on trends in student enrollment in Massachusetts public schools. Enclosed is a state map and data tables that show the percent change in district enrollment between 1999 and 2009. Statewide, student enrollment dropped from 963,761 students in 1999 to 958,910 students in 2009, a decrease of 0.5 percent.
