Connecting Activities Reporting Schedule
Here is the quarterly reporting instructions and reporting schedule for Connecting Activities for FY2020. Each region submits a quarterly report that summarizes the activity for the quarter. The report includes a brief narrative plus two data reports: the Work and Learning Performance Report, with data about work-based learning (jobs/internships) placements and the Activity List, with participation numbers and descriptions of career development activities.
The quarterly data is calculated automatically from the database, drawing from information you have entered into the Placement Screen and the Activity Screen. The database also provides a screen for you to paste in your narrative, so that you can save and email a single document with the whole report. Instructions are found in the database manual.
The reporting schedule for FY2020:
First Quarter Report
Due October 15, 2019
Is based on placements with a start date between July 1 and September 30
And career development activities with an activity date between July 1 and September 30
** Reports may also include summer placements with a start date in late June.
Second Quarter Report
Due January 15, 2020
Is based on placements with a start date between July 1 and December 31 (cumulative)
And career development activities with an activity date between October 1 and December 31
Third Quarter Report
Due April 15, 2020
Is based on placements with a start date between July 1 and March 31 (cumulative)
And career development activities with an activity date between January 1 and March 31
Fourth Quarter Report
Due July 15, 2020
Is based on placements with a start date between July 1 and June 30 (cumulative)
And career development activities with an activity date between July1 and June 30 (cumulative)
Instructions for Narrative:
Include a brief narrative that describes the system building work you have been doing to develop new or expanded partnerships with schools, employers and community organizations; to develop new activities within the region; and to support schools and other organizations in their career development work. This narrative focuses on the behind-the-scenes work: while the Activity List in the data section lists the jobs, internships and career development events that you have brokered, the narrative describes the partnership-building and planning for your work. You may also include a description of any current challenges in your work, including any thoughts about how you will address those challenges and any assistance that you might want from DESE and/or other regions.
