FY2023: Statewide College and Career Readiness Program — Earmarked Funds Grant to JFYNetWorks

Purpose:

For a statewide college and career readiness program implemented by JFYNetWorks, a nonprofit corporation, to: (a) provide online instructional curricula to help students meet the Massachusetts state standards at each grade level and reduce learning loss and achievement gaps, and (b) prepare students for required assessments and college placement tests in middle and high schools.

Eligibility:

The organization JFYNetWorks is eligible for this money, as noted in the Fiscal Year 2023 state budget 7061-9406 line item language.

Up to $875,000 is available to JFYNetWorks for the purposes noted above.

Fund Use:

Funds must be used as described in a budget and Part III that is submitted to the Department's Office of Student and Family Support.

Project Duration:

Upon Approval * – 6/30/2023

* Grant start date cannot be prior to DESE receiving a substantially approvable Application Submission as directed in this RFP's Submission Instructions. Goods and Services cannot be procured prior to Grants receiving and approving an application submission. Funds cannot exceed the project duration end date.

Additional Information:

A narrative evaluation of the overall effectiveness of the program is requested by the Department — to be submitted after the end of the program (and by July 31, 2023).

Submission Instructions:

Submit all required grant materials through EdGrants.

In EdGrants, grantees are required to create and name the project. Please use the following naming convention for your "Applicant Project Name" in EdGrants:

All required forms should be uploaded / attached in the Attachments List of the Application Submission. This includes a signed / scanned PDF of Part I / Coversheet with Executive Director's signature.
