World Languages

World Languages Leaders Network

Join the hundreds of world language leaders who are engaging with us this year. The 2021-2022 World Languages Leaders Network meets quarterly to discuss programmatic leadership for World Languages. Topics may include facilitating implementation of the new framework, the Seal of Biliteracy, equity in World Languages, grant opportunities, aligning curriculum to the new framework, and more. Who should attend the World Language Network Meetings?

Districts should select no more than 1–4 world language leaders to represent them at the WLLN meeting. WLLN representatives may include:

  • K–12 World Language director (or secondary and elementary World Language directors)
  • K–12 World Language coordinator (or secondary and elementary World Language coordinators)
  • Elementary World Language lead teacher and secondary World Language lead teacher
  • Superintendent/Assistant superintendent
  • Curriculum director
  • Principal (if World Language program is building-based)
  • Humanities, EL, Dual Language, and/or Heritage Language director/coordinator
