Massachusetts Migrant Education Program Carryover (FY17 Funds)

Purpose:The purpose of these continuation grant funds is to provide funding to EDCO Collaborative to identify and address the unique educational needs of migratory children.
Priorities: In general, the priority of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (Department) is to fund EDCO Collaborative to facilitate the operation of the State Title I Migrant Education Program in the most cost-effective manner designed to meet the needs of migrant children.

Eligibility:EDCO Collaborative is eligible to apply for these funds.

Funding Type:Federal CFDA 84.011

Funding:Approximately $13,470 is available for this carryover grant.

Funding is contingent upon availability. All dollar amounts listed are estimated/approximate and are subject to change. If more funding is to become available it will be distributed under the same guideline as listed in the initial RFP document.

Fund Use:Management of the MMEP, assistance and support of the Department in the provision of Title I Migrant Education projects at identified project sites. Unallowable costs: food for staff trainings.

Fund use must align with Part III - Required Program Information submitted under FY18 FC 308 MMEP grant.

Submission Instructions: Submit all required grant materials through EdGrants no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, August 25, 2017.

In EdGrants, districts are required to create and name the project. Please use the following naming convention for your "Applicant Project Name" in EdGrants:

This includes a signed / scanned PDFs of Part I / Signature Pages, signed Grant Assurances page and budget narrative.
