Winners Announced for the US Savings Bonds Poster Contest 2001

Dear Educator, Recently I sent out a notice asking you to enter your 4-6 grade students in the US Savings Bonds Poster Contest 2001. The Dept. of Education and Dept. of the Treasury received over 900 outstanding entries from students across the state. Although choosing only 3 winners (and an honorable mention) was difficult, we have done it.

(this is the first year US Treasury has chosen HM) The winners have been notified and the awards ceremony was today, May 16th at the USS Constitution in Charlestown. The awards luncheon was sponsored by Liberty Mutual Group of Boston. Each state's 1st place entry will compete in Washington DC in April in the national judging.
