Mission:

The Office of Public School Monitoring partners with local education agencies including districts, vocational schools, virtual schools, charter schools and collaboratives, to promote positive student outcomes by engaging in focused reviews to drive reform, maintain effective practices and commend exemplars.

As agents of change we employ a comprehensive approach to special education and civil rights compliance in our reviews by:

  • Providing transparent public reporting through data collection and analysis;
  • Supporting the implementation of laws and regulations that guarantee educational equity;
  • Respecting our responsibility to students and families; and
  • Working as integrated members of the Center for District Support to provide cohesive and impactful supports to public schools.
