The Department will not be funding the 274 and 249 discretionary grant programs for FY20. The IDEA allocation for state-level activities is not sufficient to allow for supplementary grants to all districts and approved private special education schools in FY20. If IDEA supplementary funds do become available late in FY20 or in FY21, the Department anticipates that it will make funds available to support implementation of the new IEP development process and related activities.
We regret any inconvenience to districts and approved private schools resulting from the unavailability of Fund Code 274 and Fund Code 249 in FY20.
