The Department, in partnership with Walker, is accepting applications for this 3-day professional development opportunity. Interested applicants should review the MHFA expectations and the Massachusetts MHFA Certified Instructor Training Overview before applying. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements as outlined in the application, including but not limited to prior knowledge about mental health and substance use issues and experience teaching groups of adults. Participants who successfully complete the training will be prepared to deliver Youth Mental Health First Aid Training. We are excited to support the development of a cadre of trainers who can provide this training across the Commonwealth, including at Department-sponsored trainings this spring. Space is limited to 16 participants for this session. The Department will likely offer another instructor training in May 2020. Please contact Kristen McKinnon at the Department or Shannon Lee at Walker with any questions. Please submit a brief survey of interest by December 12, 2019, and the completed application for the January session no later than December 19, 2019.
