Statement from Education Commissioner David P. Driscoll on the U.S. Chamber's Education Report Card, "Leaders and Laggards"

MALDEN - MALDEN - "We're pleased to see Massachusetts hailed once more as a national leader by an independent reviewer. Our success stems from the work we've done here at the Department to build strong accountability and assessment programs, the commitment and dedication of our administrators and teachers, and the unprecedented effort put in each day by students in all of our schools to strive for academic success. But despite these national accolades, we still have work to do to ensure that all of our students graduate with the skills needed to compete with their international peers, and to succeed in today's global economy."
