EPIMS and Student Course Schedule Extension

As you know, we have launched a new statewide data collection this Fall, "student course schedules." This will complete our and your ability to link teachers, students and the classes they are assigned to – a key building block for the enhanced data, teaching and learning and evaluation systems we will be building together over the coming months. These data collection and verification processes are complex and have proven to be challenging for many districts to complete. I appreciate all of your efforts in this regard and would especially like to acknowledge the 35 districts listed on the following page that have successfully completed the process to date. Given this complexity, I have decided to extend the SCS and EPIMS reporting deadline from December 16th to January 13, 2011. This extension should give the remaining districts sufficient time to submit their data and review the information. The Data Collection office is available to assist district staff over the phone or if needed can provide on-site support.
