Mandatory 2013 Summer Food Service Program Training for Returning Sponsors Only

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE), Office for Nutrition, Health and Safety Programs has three Webinar training sessions for Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) FY 2013 returning sponsoring agencies. United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) requires that program administrators and/or key staff attend one of these sessions. Non-attendance at the required sessions may delay SFSP approval and/or participation in the FY 2013 Summer Food Service Program. Each training will review management and administrative responsibilities required by USDA.

Mandatory SFSP Sessions

Returning sponsors will receive a program overview with special emphasis on operational and administrative duties and responsibilities via an online Webinar. Access to the webinar is available from any computer that has access to the internet. To view the Webinar, you will be required to have Adobe Flash on your computer. Two days prior to the first scheduled Webinar related documents will be posted to the Online Document and Reference Library in the ESE Security Portal.

The 2013 SFSP application will be submitted and renewed online. In addition, all SFSP claims will be processed electronically in the online security portal. Your Online User Name and Password will remain the same. You will be able to access the webinar from any computer that has internet access and Adobe Flash. If you don't have Adobe Flash on your computer, you can download it for free at ALWAYS CONSULT WITH YOUR IT SPECIALIST PRIOR TO DOWNLOADING ANYTHING TO YOUR COMPUTER. In addition to the computer internet access, participants will need to listen to the webinar via any phone. If viewing the webinar with others, the phone should have a speaker option. You may not want to use your mobile device to participate because of the length of the webinar.
