Grant Programs

Title IIB Mathematics and Science Partnerships (Fund Code 150)

The Massachusetts Mathematics and Science Partnership Program (MMSP) is federally funded through Title II, Part B of the No Child Left Behind Act . This program is intended to increase the academic achievement of students in mathematics and science by enhancing the standards knowledge and teaching skills of educators. Partnerships between high-need school districts and the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) faculty in institutions of higher education are at the core of these improvement efforts. Financial Literacy Pilot Program (Fund Code 740)

The purpose of this new pilot program is to support high schools in the Gateway Municipalities to plan and pilot financial literacy programs that engage students in developing personal financial knowledge and skills for college and career readiness. Specifically, this first-year planning grant is for teams of educators and partners to work together to develop a financial literacy program to be piloted in the 2013-2014 school year.

This competitive grant program was established by legislation of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Massachusetts Fiscal Year 2013 Budget, Financial Literacy Line Item, Section 200). For further information about the Financial Literacy Pilot program, please contact mathsciencetech@doe.mass.edu.
