Licensing 101:
How to Complete the Licensure Paperwork for
Starting Your Private, Post-Secondary Occupational School and Keeping It Licensed
(A Workshop for New Schools and New Directors or Managers)

The Office of Proprietary Schools conducts two-hour informational seminars for new schools applying for an initial license and for new administrators of licensed private occupational schools. These informational seminars assist schools with application materials.
The session provides step-by-step instructions on the process necessary to complete an application for licensure, whether for an initial license or to renew or maintain an existing license. New administrators of licensed schools will learn how to submit complete and accurate documentation to maintain their school's license for:
o Teacher Approval Applications
o Program/Course Approval Forms
o Keeping inspections current
o Interim year requirements
o Renewal year requirements
o Other topics requested by attendees
Participants will review how to set up tickler systems to track documentation due dates to ensure that the paperwork necessary to keep their license in force and effect is submitted to the Department in a timely fashion.
For each school please register only one attendee. You may bring as many from the school as deemed necessary, but please register only one. Due to limited registrations please notify the department if unable to attend so that the space can be utilized by another school.
