The Departments of Early Education and Care (EEC) and Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE) are pleased to host: Bringing Positive Behavior Support to Preschool: Being evidence-based and developmentally appropriate Tuesday, July 15, 2014 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center Framingham, MA Special Education Directors, Early Childhood Coordinators and teachers are encouraged to attend. Overview: There is substantial research that supports the use of a tiered promotion, prevention, and intervention framework to address challenging behavior. In this workshop, Dr. Lise Fox will illustrate how the PBIS framework is effectively implemented within classrooms and programs for young children (three to five years). Learn about the practices that can be used by early educators at each tier of the framework and the data decision-making tools that can be used by teachers and leadership teams for ensuring implementation fidelity, the delivery of effective intervention, and to monitor outcomes. We look forward to this opportunity to collaboratively support the process of ensuring quality early childhood outcomes. Registration information will be available in June 2014 Please contact Chris Pond (chris.pond@state.ma.us) if you have questions.
