Adult Career Pathways Kick-Off Meeting/registration

August 13, 2015
Dear ABE Program Directors, Workforce Partners, and Career Center Directors: Please join us at the Adult Career Pathways (ACP) Kick-Off Meeting on September 16th from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Devens Common Center, 31 Andrews Parkway, Devens, MA. Last year our combined efforts helped over 1,000 students advance along regional career pathways. We hope to help more do the same this year! An essential component of the ACP program is the regional partnership convened by the workforce partner and comprised of the ACP program(s), career center(s), and any additional partners identified. Within this context, the ACP Task Force has been working with ACLS to revise the ACP Guidelines to better reflect the intent of the partnership and the roles and responsibilities of each partner. A brief outline of the day's activities follows:
  1. Key sections of the ACP Guidelines will be reviewed and groups will meet to discuss and provide feedback. (Note: ACLS will email the draft Guidelines to you in advance of the Kick-Off.)
  2. The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development will provide an update on the Career Readiness Initiative.
  3. The SABES Professional Development Center for Education and Career Planning will solicit feedback on ACP programming for FY16.
  4. Working groups will meet to share ideas and begin planning for FY16.
Register for 2015 Adult Career Pathways Kick-off Meeting. Please let us know if you have any questions. Sincerely, Jolanta Conway
Massachusetts ABE State Director
