District Collaboration to Support Transition to the 2016 MA Science & Technology/Engineering (STE) Standards Kickoff Event

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Museum of Science, Boston, are hosting the same full-day (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) event in 2 locations:
  • June 14, 2016, Best Western, Marlborough (registration will open at 8:00 AM)

  • June 15, 2016, Museum of Science, Boston (registration will open at 8:00 AM)

Bring a team of science educators to collaborate with other districts in your region on identifying strategies and resources for transitioning to the 2016 STE standards. Participants will learn about key features of the 2016 STE standards, implications for curriculum and instruction, transition considerations, and examples of efforts already undertaken by some districts. Participants will engage in peer discussions to identify needs and resources that will inform their own transition process. Districts can identify continued opportunities to collaborate over the next several years. Each district team leader should register a team of up to 5 educators, to include at least one person responsible for coordinating district science efforts. Space is limited; please register for only one event. Please be sure that only one team member registers for the entire group. Register your team.
