ACLS Revised Outstationing Policy for FY2017

September 8, 2016

Dear Program Directors, In an effort to facilitate an efficient two-way shared customer referral system between ABE programs and One-Stop Career Centers (OSCCs), ACLS is revising its outstationing policy for FY 2017. This revision was announced at the May 2016 ABE Directors' Meeting. Programs receiving outstationing funds will continue to collaborate with OSCCs by assisting OSCC staff with intake, assessment, and referral of eligible customers to regional ABE programs. In FY 2017, programs will also be responsible for connecting currently-enrolled ABE students with OSCC services. The attached policy outlines the specific requirements for programs. This policy has been reviewed by the ABE Local Workforce Development Board Representative Committee, which suggested some revisions that have been incorporated into the document. If you have any questions, please contact Derek Kalchbrenner at dkalchbrenner@doe.mass.edu. We appreciate your efforts on behalf of these students. Sincerely, Jolanta Conway
Massachusetts ABE State Director
