SMARTT Updates 2017

Dear Program Directors:

Be advised that starting Friday, February 10, SMARTT 2 will be merged with the completed components of SMARTT 3. This means that users will interact with a hybrid User Interface (UI) until SMARTT 3 is fully developed. Specifically, the Agency, Project, and Site pages have been upgraded, and there is a new Cohort Follow Up page which programs will eventually use to track students' WIOA outcomes—tutorials and guidance on how to navigate the new follow up screens will be forthcoming.

To appreciate why changes were needed to the follow up screens, please attend the upcoming webinar: Understanding the National Reporting System's (NRS) Federal Reporting Measures and Requirements. More information, along with a registration link, will be provided in the next monthly mailing.

Also on February 10, the SMARTT landing page will look a little different and contain a "What's New" link. This link will take you directly to a new dashboard, which will contain updates related to all things SMARTT and replace the updates section found in the monthly mailings. The eventual goal of the dashboard is to provide timely and relevant data in easily digestible form that illuminates the strengths and challenges of the ABE system as a whole.

Once SMARTT 3 is fully rolled out the current dependency on Internet Explorer will be removed, and the system will be accessible across multiple browsers and mobile devices. In the meantime, we don't expect there to be much difficulty adjusting to the hybrid UI. However, should any technical issues arise, please contact SMARTT Help at the SABES PD Center for Using SMARTT and Cognos.
