The Department is pleased to offer four intensive professional development academies designed to help school and district teams implement tiered systems of instruction and support. Any school and/or district may apply for these academies, but first priority will be given to schools that are designated as underperforming or chronically underperforming and/or schools that were in the lowest 10th percentile in 2016. Additional schools will be accepted for participation based on availability and relative need.
The four academies and links to their applications are: Inclusive Tier 1 Instruction, Literacy, Math, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Districts are encouraged to submit applications for schools that are ready and committed to participate in this rigorous, three-year professional development opportunity. Please complete the application as soon as possible, as space is limited. The first round of enrollment decisions will be made in June. Anyone with questions can email Rebecca Shor.
