Fall CCTE Newsletter

This year, we are excited to continue supporting high quality career technical educational through the transition to the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V), another Chapter 74 program application cycle, grants to support new "After Dark" partnership programs, and revisions to both the career/vocational technical regulations and frameworks. We also continue to expand Early College and Innovation Pathways, train an additional cohort of schools and districts on College and Career Advising (CCA) program and My Career and Academic Plan (MyCAP), and support the effective use of EWIS, VOCAL, and CVTE data to improve student learning.

We are also looking for an experienced, visionary professional to lead this work. This is a rare opportunity to have a statewide, systemic impact to expand high quality college, career, and technical educational opportunities for young people across the Commonwealth. Please see the job posting for Associate Commissioner of College, Career, and Technical Education and spread the word. Thank you for all that you do to help prepare our students for successful futures.
