Edwin Is Changing!

We have changed what application is used to create Edwin reports. Edwin had been an IBM Cognos application and will now be a Power BI application. Over the last year, we have been migrating reports over to the new application. Many of the reports will look very similar. We have tried to balance consistency with enhancements and changes to improve your Edwin experience.

Starting June 1^st, you can explore the new version of Edwin. You may need to go to the application list through the EOE's security portal to click on Edwin Analytics link. Most all Edwin reports will be live in the new Edwin Analytics version at that time, with the remaining reports becoming available throughout June. The Cognos version of Edwin will remain available to you until July 1^st via the Edwin Analytics (legacy) link.

Some of the changes include:

• Updated user interface: The home page looks a little different than before, though reports remain organized by content area. You still have the ability to note favorite reports and use the search function to locate reports. See Using Edwin for more information.

• Report Prompts appear at the top of the report: Instead of having to make a series of selections on a prompt page in order to run a report, all prompts and filters will appear at the top of the report page. In most cases, this means when you click on report, it will open populated with data. You can then adjust the filters to rerun the report based on your needs.

• Some reports have been modified and combined: Previously, most of the aggregate reports had district and school versions as separate reports. Now, you can chose to run an aggregate report at the district level or for a particular school or subset of schools. Other reports have been combined or modified based on user feedback.
