10 New Charter School Prospectuses Submitted for Consideration
MALDEN
- The state has received 10 pre-applications from groups hoping to submit applications for new charter schools to be considered by the Board of Education this year. Founding groups whose proposals show the most promise will be notified by mid-September and encouraged to submit a full application, due in mid-November. Those will then be reviewed and evaluated by Department of Education staff and external review panels with expertise in education, business, legal, and organizational structure. The Board of Education will vote to award new charters in February, 2008. The proposals that were submitted for consideration this year are:
