Announcing Technical Assistance Sessions on Perkins IV Five-Year Local Plan Development
The Massachusetts Department of Education is pleased to announce three (identical) technical assistance sessions on the development of Perkins IV Five-Year Local Plans. The expectation is that two individuals from each district will attend one of the sessions together in order to acquire technical assistance that they will in turn share with the team in the district that is responsible for developing the Perkins IV Five-Year Local Plan. While the Department would love to have the entire team or more than two individuals attend, space is limited by host site capacity and we want to be fair and accommodate all districts. • Smith Vocational and Agricultural School, Northampton - Thursday, January 17, 2008 Sign-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the session will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at 12:30 p.m. The snow date for this session is Friday, January 18, 2008. This session is for high schools in western MA. • Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical School, Upton - Tuesday, January 22, 2008 Sign-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the session will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:00 p.m. The snow date for this session is Wednesday, January 30, 2008. This session is for vocational technical high schools in eastern MA. • Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical School, Upton - Friday, January 25, 2008 Sign-in will be at 8:00 a.m. and the session will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:00 p.m. The snow date for this session is Wednesday, January 30, 2008. This session is for comprehensive high schools. Refreshments will be available upon arrival. Lunch will not be provided. If the school is closed due to snow, the snow date will be used. If the school is closed on the snow date, the session that day will be rescheduled for a date to be announced. Registration for two individuals per district will take place online, only beginning on November 30, 2007. Registration will close when capacity has been reached. To register go to
http://www.doe.mass.edu/conference/?ConferenceID=432/
Each individual will need to register individually.
