Network Downtime Thursday Jan 15th for Springfield and Malden

On Thursday January 15th we will be switching over the last piece of the network connected to 350 Main St. We will have to interrupt our outside network connection in order to do this. Please read the following to understand the impact on network services that evening for both the Springfield and Malden locations. For the Springfield office only: Starting from 2pm until early Friday morning, users inside the Springfield office will not be able to:

access any outside websites
access VPN for the state network
access the ESE website
access the ESE security portal, ELAR, and other ESE online services
send and receive internal email
access the F, H, and Z drives

For everyone else: Starting from 5:30pm until about 8:30pm on Thursday: Users outside the ESE will not be able to:

access the ESE website
access the ESE security portal, ELAR, and other ESE online services
use Outlook Web Access or Blackberry services to access email remotely

Users inside the ESE will not be able to:

access any outside websites
access VPN for the state network

Email sent to the ESE or sent to the outside from the ESE during this time will queue until the network change is over. During this time, ESE users inside 75 Pleasant St only will still be able to:

send and receive internal email
access the F, H, and Z drives
access the ESE website
access the ESE security portal, ELAR, and other ESE online services
