Education Commissioner David P. Driscoll's statement on the stabbing death of a Springfield High School staff member

MALDEN - "Our hearts and prayers go out to this educator’s family and to the entire Springfield school community. This is a terrible tragedy, and the realization of one of our worst fears. We’ve got to get weapons out of the hands of our young people, their anger has to be addressed, and school violence has to stop. We should not be made to tolerate this kind of violence against school personnel or against other students."
