The Department has moved to 135 Santilli Highway in Everett. The Department's office and Licensure Welcome Center are open. The new location has free parking and is a short walk from the Wellington station on the MBTA's Orange Line.

Announcing High Schools That Work Activities

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is pleased to announce the following activities for staff from high schools that are High Schools That Work (HSTW) sites: • One-day refresher site development workshop for teams from ten current HSTW sites led by Lois Barnes – Wednesday, April 14, 2010. • Two or three site coordinators meetings. The first meeting will be Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Worcester Technical High School. The second meeting will be in November or early December 2009. A third meeting will be held in the spring 2010, if necessary. • Training for new staff regarding the student assessments under HSTW. Please resister for these activities by emailing Maryellen McDonagh in the Office for Career/Vocational Technical at mmcdonagh@doe.mass.edu The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act is the funding source.
