National School Lunch Program (NSLP) Fiscal Year 2011 Program Updates

In this correspondence are several items related to the management and operations of Child Nutrition Programs in schools. Regular program updates and postings will be available on The Nutrition, Health and Safety (NHS) website at http://www.doe.mass.edu/cnp/nprograms/.

Child Nutrition Programs Reimbursement Memo

The reimbursement rates for the 2010-2011school year are enclosed. Rates will be posted on the NHS website at http://www.doe.mass.edu/cnp/nprograms/ and in the Document Library in the Security Portal.

Updated Direct Certification List

All public schools are required to access the Direct Certification List via the Security Portal to directly certify for free meals all students who are listed. This list will be posted in the Security Portal towards the end of August 2010. An announcement will be posted on the website when the list is available.

NSLP Online Renewal Application Instructions

Enclosed are the instructions for completing the online renewal application, available after July 26, 2010, in the Security Portal. All programs must update and submit the application on or before September 24, 2010.

NSLP Deadlines to Remember for 2010-2011 School Year

Enclosed is the list of all required National School lunch program deadlines for the 2010-2011 school year. Please refer to this list throughout the year to assure that all reporting deadlines are met.
