Second Modification to Data Entry Policy

September 14, 2010 Dear ABE Program Directors, This email is a second modification to the Sept. 2 special mailing on two new policies for ensuring data quality. Specifically, it provides an exception, in FY 2011 only, to the new policy to close data entry permanently for enrollments and attendance in the second consecutive month. Because the new policy was only released in September, and some programs are anticipating delays related to the shift from using the REEP to the Best Plus, there will be an additional month allowed to enter September enrollments and attendance in FY 2011 only. Accordingly, the first "data lockout date" in FY 2011 will be December 31, rather than November 30, as previously stated. In future years, September data will be accepted only through November 30.
