Workforce Innovation Fund Solicitation for Grant Applications (SGA)
On December 22, 2011, the U.S. Department of Labor announced a Solicitation for Grant Applications (SGA) for approximately $98.5 million available through the Workforce Innovation Fund (WIF) to support innovative employment and training service approaches. The fund invests in programs that support, evaluate and enhance workforce investment strategies, particularly for vulnerable populations. The full SGA is available at http://www.doleta.gov/grants/pdf/SGA-DFA-PY-11-05.pdf. Entities eligible for grants from the fund include state workforce agencies, local workforce investment boards and institutions eligible to apply for WIA Section 166 grants. We encourage your programs to connect and collaborate, where possible.
