Autism Waiver Announcement'12

Autism Waiver Announcement'12: The Autism Division of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is launching an open enrollment period for the Children's Autism Medicaid Waiver. The Autism Waiver Program provides one-to-one interventions to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorders from birth through age 8, who exhibit severe behavior, social and/or communication problems through a service called Expanded Habilitation, Education (intensive in-home services and supports, such as Applied Behavioral Analysis, Floor Time and Communication models). These services occur in the child's home or other natural settings under the supervision of trained clinical staff. Other services including related support services such as community integration activities and respite are also available. In order to receive these services, families must apply during the assigned open enrollment period, April 2, 2012 and April 14, 2012. Applications postmarked before or after these dates will not be reviewed. Families that applied during earlier enrollment periods must reapply during this period. Additional Information about this Waiver Program, including the enrollment application, is available on the DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES Website at: www.mass.gov/DDS under 'Autism Spectrum Services.
