Adult and Community Learning Services (ACLS)
Funding Opportunity – Learn at Work Deadline Extended
May 9, 2012 Dear Program Directors,
Adult and Community Learning Services has made over $1M available to support Learn at Work (LAW) Grants
. Workplace education programs provide you with a unique opportunity to bring instructional programs to adult learners at their workplace. Learn at Work Planning Grants allow you to work with a business partner to determine the feasibility of offering workplace education. Planning grants provide support for the provider to conduct an assessment of the educational needs of the workers and support to develop a program design that will ensure the successful implementation of a workplace education program. I encourage you to work with a business partner in your community to explore the possibility of providing instructional services at the worksite. Keep in mind that your local Workforce Investment Board Director understands the needs of businesses in your area and may be able to point you in the direction of a business partner. LAW is administered by the Commonwealth Corporation. Information about the extended deadline and related information session follows. To view the LAW RFP:
